1. Introduction and Purpose
This Workshop Liability Waiver and Release (“Waiver”) is entered into by the participant (or their parent/guardian if under 18) in favour of CG Creations Leather in relation to participation in leather crafting workshops, classes, and related activities conducted by CG Creations Leather at our premises in Wagga Wagga, NSW, or at such other locations as may be designated by CG Creations Leather. By signing this Waiver (or accepting it electronically), you acknowledge that you have read, under-stood, and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions contained herein.
2. Description of Activities
CG Creations conducts hands-on leather crafting workshops that may include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
• Cutting leather using sharp knives, rotary cutters, and cutting tools
• Using leather punches, awls, and pricking irons
• Operating hand tools including mallets, hammers, and edge bevelers
• Using stitching equipment including needles and waxed thread• Applying leather dyes, finishes, sealants, and adhesives
• Operating machinery including leather splitters, skivers, and presses
• Handling brass hardware, rivets, and metal fittings
• Using heat tools for stamping and finishing
• General workshop activities in a working leather goods environment
3. Acknowledgment of Risks
I understand that leather working involves the use of sharp tools (including knives, awls, and punch-es), machinery, and chemical dyes, finishes, or adhesives. I acknowledge that these activities carry inherent risks of injury, including the risk of serious injury. Without limiting the above, I acknowledge that risks may include cuts, puncture wounds, burns, impact injuries, eye injuries, allergic reactions, respiratory irritation, slips/trips/falls, and damage to personal property. I acknowledge that my participation in CG Creations Leather workshops is entirely voluntary. I have been given the opportunity to ask questions regarding the activities, equipment, and risks involved, and I am satisfied with the responses provided.
4. Assumption of Risk
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in the workshop, including any injury, loss, or damage to person or property, whether such risks are known or unknown, inherent or other-wise.
5. Release and Waiver of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless CG Creations Leather, its owner (Cassie Goding), and any staff, employees, contractors, agents, and volunteers from all liability, claims, demands, actions, causes of action, suits, damages, losses, expenses, and liabilities of any kind whatsoever (whether known or unknown) arising out of or in connection with my participation in any work-shop or related activity. I acknowledge that certain consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law may apply to services provided by CG Creations Leather. To the extent permitted by law, CG Creations Leather excludes liability for death, physical or mental injury, or the contraction, aggravation, or acceleration of a disease, where such outcomes result from inherent risks of the activity.
6. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or resulting from:
a) My participation in workshop activities
b) My breach of any term of this Agreement
c) Any injury or damage caused by my actions or omissions to other participants, staff, or third parties
d) Any misrepresentation made by me in this Agreement
7. Safety Rules and Instructions
7.1 Compliance
I agree to:
a) Follow all safety rules, guidelines, and instructions provided by CG Creations staff at all times
b) Use all tools, equipment, and materials only as directed and for their intended purpose
c) Wear appropriate clothing and any required personal protective equipment (PPE) as instructed
d) Refrain from using any equipment or engaging in any activity that I do not feel comfortable or competent to perform
e) Immediately report any injury, accident, unsafe condition, or equipment malfunction to CG Creations staff
f) Not attend or participate in workshop activities while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair my judgment or physical abilities
7.2 Right to Exclude
I acknowledge that CG Creations reserves the right to exclude me from participation in any workshop activity if, in the sole discretion of Company staff, my behaviour poses a risk to myself, other participants, staff, or property. No refund will be provided in such circumstances.
8. Medical Acknowledgment
8.1 Physical Fitness
I confirm that I am physically and mentally fit to participate in leather crafting workshop activities and that I have no medical conditions, disabilities, or allergies that would prevent my safe participation or that would be aggravated by participation.8.2 Disclosure I agree to disclose to CG Creations staff any medical conditions, allergies (including but not limited to latex, leather, dyes, or chemical sensitivities), physical limitations, or medications that may affect my participation or that workshop staff should be aware of. Please list any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations:

8.3 Medical Treatment Authorisation
In the event I am injured during the workshop, I consent to receive first aid and/or medical treatment. In the event of an injury, illness, or medical emergency, I authorise CG Creations and its staff to arrange and consent to any emergency medical treatment deemed necessary by medical professionals. I accept responsibility for any costs associated with such medical treatment.
9. Intellectual Property
I acknowledge that all techniques, methods, designs, templates, and materials provided during CG Creations workshops remain the intellectual property of the Company. Workshop content is provided for personal use and skill development only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from CG Creations.
10. Photography and Social Media Release (Media Release)
CG Creations may photograph, film, or record workshop activities at our workshop in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
☐ I CONSENT to CG Creations photographing, filming, or recording my participation in workshop activities and using my image, likeness, voice, and/or recordings for promotional, marketing, educational, and/or social media purposes (including publication on the CG Creations website and social media accounts) without compensation.

If I do not consent, I understand it is my responsibility to notify CG Creations staff at the start of the workshop, and CG Creations will take reasonable steps to avoid capturing or using my image (noting that incidental capture may still occur in group settings).
11. Personal Property
I acknowledge that CG Creations is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal property brought to the workshop premises. I agree to keep my personal belongings secure and to wear appropriate clothing that I accept may be stained or damaged during workshop activities.
12. Cancellation and Refund Policy
I acknowledge that I have read and understand CG Creations’ cancellation and refund policy as published on the Company website. I understand that workshop fees may be non-refundable or subject to cancellation fees as outlined in that policy.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
14. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such finding shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior negotiations, representations, warranties, and agreements between the parties. No modification of this Agreement shall be effective unless made in writing and signed by both parties.
16. Participant Declaration

If I am booking for a minor, I confirm that I am their parent or legal guardian and I provide this Waiver on their behalf. I, the undersigned, am the parent or legal guardian of the minor named above. I have read this Liability Waiver and Release in its entirety, I understand its contents, and I agree to its terms on behalf of myself and the minor Participant.
